This childhood scrapbook of John Seigenthaler, Sr. who helmed The Tennessean for many decades, contains many unique photographs and mementos from the 1940s that are in need of rescuing from this scrapbook’s acidic pages. While the physical scrapbook is beyond saving, the existing page layouts will be photographed before the pieces are removed for preservation in new containers.
